Baba Yetu

2 Corinthians 3:10-12
For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. And if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts! Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
Continue in prayer, draw nearer to Christ!
The lyrics of the song is seen below, it is the Swahili version of the Lord’s Prayer.

Swahili English
“Baba Yetu”
Baba yetu, Yetu uliye
Mbinguni yetu, Yetu amina!
Baba yetu Yetu uliye
Fu jina lako litukuzwe.
Utupe leo chakula chetu
Tunachohitaji utusamehe
Makosa yetu, hey!
Kama nasi tunavyowasamehe
Waliotukosea usitutie
Katika majaribu, lakini
Utuokoe, na yule, muovu e milele!
Ufalme wako ufike utakalo
Lifanyike duniani kama mbinguni. (Amina)
Our Father, Jesus who art
in Heaven. Amen!
Our Father, Jesus
Hallowed be thy name.
Give us this day our daily bread,
Forgive us of
our trespasses
As we forgive others
Who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from the evil one forever.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On Earth as it is in Heaven. (Amen)

Bright and Morning Star

God who is a consuming fire, has the balance of gentleness. The sun does not devour us, but touches us with the harmlessness of the kiss of a child. God loves you. REINHARD BONNKE Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 8:29am

In some ways the trinity of God can be explain with the analogy of the Sun. The Sun being the Father, the rays of light being Jesus Christ through whom we can see the Father, and the warmth of the rays of light being the Holy Spirit who continually kindles us and strengths us with his presence. Yet they are all one. What a thought!

”In him was life, and the life was the light of men.” John 1:4

“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” Revelation 22:16
